  • I honestly can’t understand how anyone could give this place less than 5 stars! The bowls were absolutely delicious, with seafood that was incredibly fresh. The staff were so friendly and attentive—when I ordered a bowl with uni and added double uni on top, they politely double-checked to make sure I meant to do that, which I really appreciated. Out of all the meals I had during our two weeks in Tokyo, this was hands-down my favorite. The flavors, quality, and care put into the food were unmatched, and to top it off, the prices were very reasonable. If you’re in Tokyo, this spot is a must-visit!

  • Beef heaven! Had a lovely meal here after a cold and rainy day. The staff were super friendly and accommodating to our requests. 10/10 will definitely come back the next time we’re in Kyoto.

  • Ayumi was such a professional and friendly individual. She knew exactly how to work around my ceoliac disease and provided a whole gluten free menu for me to choose from! The meal was a beautiful traditional wagyu rice bowl experience and was so flavoursome. DELICIOUS! My sister was also able to get their vegan bowl. It was also a taste bud adventure. So much greatness in every bite. I’d highly highly recommend this restaurant for all people looking for amazing service, out of this world food and a nice ambiance for enjoying a meal after exploring wonderful Kyoto! Thank you so much

  • Wagyu Volcano OAGARI was one of my favourite food stops in Kyoto. The Wagyu Volcano bowl looked incredible and tasted even better — the beef was beautifully marbled, super tender, and literally melted in my mouth. I loved breaking the egg yolk over the wagyu and then finishing it with the warm dashi broth, which turned the dish into something comforting and rich without being heavy. The restaurant has a cozy vibe and the staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It’s a fun, indulgent meal that feels special but still relaxed. If you love wagyu and want something memorable in Kyoto, this place is absolutely worth the visit.

  • The best experience in Gion area Kyoto. The beef slice is super thin and melted. The special daishi broth is tasty. And the combination of all ingredients is perfect. Besides the staff is super friendly, helpful and very good at English. So you're not Japanese, this place is exactly for you. I walked in at 11:30am and don't need to wait or reserve. If you have plan to come Gion, let's bookmark this place in your list. High recommended.

  • Wonderful experience. We ran into the restaurant by chance and could not be more successful. We entered because they had a vegan option to their star dish, the meat volcano. We really liked it very much. The curious thing about the dish is that it is eaten following 3 steps, as in the restaurants with Michelin stars, but I will not reveal them to not break the magic. In addition, they are very nice and they treated us excelently. I recommend it 100%

  • Great food, but the beef is not really raw. They got torched before serving. Beef doesn’t have much taste to it, but the fragrance is fantastic. Uni is a bit bitter. Portion size is a bit small so you might need to get an add on. Lots of tourists. 8/10

  • Great Wagyu Volcano Bowl, with very fresh uni and Hokkaido scallop, not forgetting the ikura. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Arrive just before 11am and managed to get in and seated immediately. The self Oder QR was user friendly giving you ample time to choose what to order.
